Linda and Donna are excited to share the dates and theme for the coming year's Silent Retreats at Mariawald Renewal Center.
Mariawald is a lovely retreat center located in Shillington PA, with beautiful spaces to pray and be, both inside and outside. Bedrooms are spacious with private bathrooms. There is an elevator and two kitchen areas, with a "book nook" and art room. More information about Mariawald can be found at www.mariawaldrenewal.com.
Our theme for this coming year will be "Held"
When we face challenges and transitions in life, it is comforting to realize that we are held by a Great Love. It helps us rest into trust, and discern the guidance of the Spirit. During our retreats this year, we will ponder the ways in which God encourages and sustains us. More specific information for each retreat will be sent out 6-8 weeks before that retreat.
Our theme will gently shape the input and Morning and Evening Prayer, but the main focus is always on the gift of silence and stillness, and how God is inviting you. Besides the times for meals, you are free to shape your retreat as you feel led. As we like to say, "Everything is optional!"
The dates for the coming year are:
Fall: October 31-Nov. 2, 2025
Winter: January 30-Feb. 1, 2026
Spring: April 24-26, 2026
Cost per weekend: $250
(please note the increase in cost due to rising expenses)
Deposit to hold your place: $50 per weekend (non-refundable - but can be applied to another retreat if you need to reschedule)
Payment in full will be due by the 1st of the month that the retreat is held:
October 1, 2025
January 2, 2026
April 1, 2026
We will send you a reminder that the payment-in-full is due. If something comes up, you may contact us to make other arrangements. If we don't receive your payment (and you have not contacted us) your name will be moved to our waiting list. The cancellation policy is below.*
You may sign up for one, two, or all three retreats. Last year our retreats filled quickly, so consider registering early. Also, feel free to share this information with friends and/or family. We would love to have them join us!

Along with your registration, please send the $50 deposit (per retreat) to Donna Holstein at: 2917 Village Green Lane, Eagleville, PA 19403. If you wish, you may also pay for the retreat(s) in full. Please make checks payable to Donna Holstein. Once we receive your deposit, we will send you a confirmation that a space is being held for you. We cannot hold a spot until the deposit is received.
You may also pay by Venmo. Be in touch with Donna if you wish to use that option (donnamholstein@gmail.com). Please remember to indicate on the payment note which retreat(s) you are paying for. Thanks!
A limited number of $50 scholarships are available. Let us know if that would be helpful. We hope that everyone who would like to come away on retreat will be able to do so.

*Cancellation policy:
A 100% refund of your registration payment (minus the $50 non-refundable deposit) will be given until the month of retreat.
If you need to cancel during the month of your retreat, you will receive 50% of the payment (minus the $50 deposit.)
No refund will be possible the final week leading to retreat.
If we are able to find a replacement, you will receive 100% of the payment you made (minus the $50 deposit).
